Denise Donati, IVF Clinic Manager, Sunshine Coast
Denise grew up in beautiful Tasmania where she started her career as a midwife. She then successfully completed her Bachelor of Applied Science and obtained her Masters of Nursing with her Major being infertility in 1992. In 1994 Denise was asked to manage a local infertility unit and after 2 years established Launceston's first IVF unit.
Relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 1999 saw her working as IVF Sunshine Coast's Nurse Manager for 8 years during which time she established the nursing aspect of IVF Bundaberg along with IVF Bundabergs senior nurse Ngaire McRae. In 2007 Denise left IVF Sunshine Coast when she saw an opportunity to make a difference for her patients and assisted by Drs James Orford, George Bogiatzis and scientists, she then established Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast. In 2007, Denise was approached to set up Fertility Solutions Bundaberg IVF clinic after the sudden closure of the local IVF unit. She took on this challenge along with Ngaire McRae, who joined the Fertility Solutions team in 2007 and Fertility Solutions Bundaberg was established in November of that year.
Denise regularly travels overseas as an invited guest speaker presenting on various IVF and nurse management topics. Her in-depth knowledge in fertility care as well as nurse education and training is second to none. Denise is the most experienced fertility nurse in IVF on the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay-Burnett region and managers both the Sunshine Coast IVF clinic in Nambour and the IVF fertility clinic in Bundaberg.

Dr James Orford, IVF Medical Director Sunshine Coast. Obstetrician-Gynaecologist.
A medical graduate of the University of Queensland, James has worked as an IVF fertility specialist since 2000 and is well known on the Sunshine Coast, having completed specialist training at Nambour General Hospital. James has been in private practice for over 8 years.
In 2007, after working with an IVF clinic on the Sunshine Coast he set up Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast wanting to make a difference for his patients.
James has a special interest in infertility treatment, endometriosis and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. James Orford currently holds the postion of Fertility Solutions Medical Director.

Dr George Bogiatzis, Fertility IVF Specialist Sunshine Coast. Obstetrician-Gynaecologist
George, a Queenslander through and through, is a well established Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist on the Sunshine Coast. He completed his studies at the University of Queensland in 1990 and trained at hospitals in Brisbane, Nambour and in the UK. George has been in private practice for over 8 years.
In 2007, after working with an IVF clinic on the Sunshine Coast he set up Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast wanting to make a difference for his patients.
His special interests are infertility, PCO management, pelvic floor and ultrasound.

Dr. Kirsten Morrow. Fertility Solutions IVF Specialist Sunshine Coast. Obstetrician-Gynaecologist.
In 2009 Fertility Solutions announced the addition of Obstetrician/Gynaecologist Dr Kirsten Morrow to our team of fertility specialists. Kirsten trained locally in Queensland. She completed part of her training at Nambour General Hospital, where she is well respected for her time as a Senior Registrar. Offering a full range of services including Infertility, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Colposcopy and Laparoscopic Surgery.
Kirsten understands that fertility treatment is a very personal issue and listens to your questions and concerns, working together with you to achieve your desire for a family.

Dr Kirsten Small. Consultant Fertility Specialist. Obstetrician-Gynaecologist
Kirsten is a Queenslander through and through. Born in Cooroy and raised in Tewantin, Kirsten obtained a Bachelor of Medical Science 1988, and her MBBS in 1991.
Kirsten has successfully completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine at the University of NSW and is the only fertility specialist on the sunshine coast with this qualification. Kirsten's wealth of experience and dedication to women's health she is perfectly suited to her role in providing ongoing education and support to the Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg teams.
As Kirsten enjoys teaching and exploring new technologies to further improve a couple's chance of successfully achieving their dream she makes an ideal teacher providing ongoing education and training to Fertility Solutions doctors, nurses and scientists.

Dr. Rebecca Matthews. Scientific Director Laboratory Manager
Rebecca Matthews PhD, joined Fertility Solutions in 2010 and directs the day-to-day operations of the embryology lab. She has many years of experience in the field of clinical embryology and has had hands-on experience with thousands of in vitro fertilization cases. Rebecca is also highly specialized in micromanipulation techniques such as ICSI and embryo and gamete vitrification (freezing). She has first hadn experience and success in the newer technique of egg freezing. Rebecca worked for 10 years at a successful fertility clinic in Portland Oregon, USA, before joining us on the Sunshine Coast.
Rebecca was born in Leeds, England, and received a PhD in cell biology from Manchester University. This PhD involved the study of embryo implantation and the molecules involved in the initial attachment of embryos to the uterus.
Rebecca is also author of the book IVF: A Patients Guide. A 130-page informational guide for patients undergoing fertility treatments. Published 2010. -

Paula, Fertility Nurse Specialist
Paula Hatchman joined the team at Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast after 3 years working as fertility nurse coordinator in Toowoomba.
Paula has experience in midwifery, gynaecological surgical nursing, phlebotomy and private practice nursing specializing in health care plans, diabetes and travel medicine. In July 2009 Paula and her family made the choice to move towards their long time dream - the sea change. The position offered to her as nurse coordinator at Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast was the perfect outcome. Paula feels very much at home at Fertility Solutions, and thanks everyone in the team, as well as the numerous couples that she is gradually getting to know, for trusting in her to continue the exceptional work given by the Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg teams.

Sherilyn, Fertility Nurse Specialist
Sherilyn forms part of the nursing team at Fertility Solutions in the Sunshine Coast clinic and works on a part time basis. Sherilyn began her career as a Fertility Nurse in 2003 with a clinic in Brisbane. Her professional background to date is diverse and includes having worked in both Australia and London in the areas of research, pharmaceuitcals, womens health and fertility. In addition to this she is a qualified midwife and has a keen interest in the role of diet and nutrtion especially in the area of fertility.

Donna, Fertility Nurse Specialist & Donor Coordinator
Donna started work with Fertility Solutions when it opened its doors in April 2007. She returned to the UK later the same year and has now returned to Australia after gaining additional experience at Midlands Fertility Services, one of the top clinics in the UK. A unique system that exists in the UK allows the clinic to be nurse led (nurses performed many of the fertility procedures that only doctors do in Australia), with fertility specialist supervision only.
Donna coordinates our busy donor program and with over 6 years of specialist training, she compliments the highly specialised nursing team ensuring that Sunshine Coast patients receive optimal care and treatments.

Libby, Scientist-Embryologist
Libby joined the team at Fertility Solutions at the start of 2012 having completed her Masters degree in Clinical Embryology in Melbourne. Libby completed her undergraduate studies in New Zealand, investigating the use of stem cells in the treatment of hypoxia ischemia in neonatal rats for her honours project. Her areas of interest in fertility include vitrification and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.
As a born and bred New Zealander, Libby enjoys the outdoors and getting out and about on her days off. She is a keen rower and cyclist but is looking to embrace the surf culture of the Sunshine Coast.

Kim is Fertility Solutions Administration Manager and joins us with many years of experience working in senior positions at variuos medical practices on the Coast. Kim is more than happy to talk with you about any account queries that you may have.

Donna, Reception Accounts
Donna joined the team in 2008 and is the friendly voice you will often first hear on the end of the phone and the first face you see when you enter our premise. Donna handles the appointment and can also be contacted regarding any account inquiries.

Angie, Reception
Angie grew up on a farm in South Africa. Her husband’s work took them to Switzerland and Miami for several years. With growing children, they decided to call Australia home and have lived in Sydney with the Sunshine Coast being home for the past six years.
Angie is a medical receptionist who worked in a GP practice for three years and came to Fertility Solutions in November, 2010. Angie is one of the friendly faces that greet you on arrival at our Sunshine Coast clinic.

Louise is the newest addition to our Sunshine Coast team. Louise is one of the friendly voices that will greet you when you call the clinic and will be a friendly face to greet you when you come for your appointments. -

Naomi Beutel, IVF/Fertility Counsellor
Naomi is a registered Psychologist (BBehSc (Hons)(Psychology) with over 15 years experience working with adults, couples, children and adolescents.
Her special interest is in issues confronting infertility clients and donor counselling. Naomi is dedicated to supporting couples and individuals throughout their emotional and challenging journey. Committed to best practice in Psychology, Naomi has completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. Her warm, caring and compassionate personality and her special interest in the wellbeing of individuals affected by infertility make her a highly respected and trusted fertility counsellor.

Rine Frouws, IVF/Fertility Counsellor
Riné (pronounced Rene) Registered Psychologist, BA Hons (Psych) MA Couns Psych, MAPS ANZICA
I completed my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 1997. I am a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority, the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association and the Fertility Society of Australia.
I have a special interest in fertility counselling and have helped fertility patients as the main focus of my practice for the past four years. This includes providing clients with valuable information about the expected emotional implications of fertility treatment, helping them deal with the grief and loss often associated with treatment, dealing with resultant relationship difficulties, and also providing ongoing support for patients who are pregnant, through to the postnatal period.I favour a collaborative approach to counselling, and involve clients in the identification of practical skills that might be of assistance through the use of the principles of cognitive behavioural therapies, I believe in the importance of a balanced approach to life, and assist clients to adopt realistic expectations amidst the pressures associated with fertility, stress and pain.
I have two daughters, and enjoy spending time with my family, pets and nature.
